Michael J. Gelfand, duel Florida Bar Board Certified in Real Estate Law and Condominium and Planned Development Law, is managing shareholder of Gelfand & Arpe in West Palm Beach. His practice emphasizes community association law, serving also as an expert witness, an arbitrator and as a certified county and circuit court mediator. He is a Past Chair of The Florida Bar's Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section; a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians; and, a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.
His publications include The Plaza East Trilogy: Not a Nursery Rhyme, but Scary Warfare, analyzing condominium casualty insurance. The Florida Bar has published his "Alternate Dispute Resolution, Arbitration and Mediation" and "Condominium and Homeowner Association Liens" in addition to many update lectures.
A recipient of Palm Beach County's Pro Bono Child Advocate of the Year Award, he is a graduate of Northwestern University, and the University of Florida College of Law.
